COOKING
NOTE: Refer to Use and Care Warnings, Pages 4 and 5.
1. Complete Warm-Up Process - see “OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, WARM-
UP” page 14-15.
2. Check Oil Level to see that it is between the Maximum and Minimum lines in
the cookpot (See Figure 5).
3. Load the basket as described in the A&W Operation Manual.
• CAUTION: Clamshell Basket - Using safety gloves, dip basket in hot
cooking oil (only for first frying of day).
• CAUTION: Open Basket For Strips Only
(basket without shelves, not clamshell)
- Using safety gloves, dip basket in hot
cooking oil (only for first frying of day).
Load by placing prepared product in
bottom of basket (do not overload such
that product will float up and out of the
basket).
4. When Drop signal comes on, stir with plugging
tool (five times). Place the plugging tool into
the cookpot to the bottom of the cone and stir
five times. Oil must be stirred before every
cook. If the heat light comes on, wait until
Drop is displayed again.
5. DANGER: Use safety gloves and basket drain
hook to lower basket slowly into hot cooking
oil (Figure 6).
6. Press lit channel button to begin timer
countdown.
7. Basket Removal At the end of the cook cycle
(time at 00:00 and display showing ) a
buzzer will sound indicating that the basket
can be removed from the fryer. Cancel the
buzzer by pressing the channel button.
